If you take a close look at some of the smarter commments is in sharp contrast tot the herd metnality I was talking about:

"  atims posted 3 days ago
Limo, you are right!! That is exactly what I am saying. Let some of the business move out. Let the progress be more even. I feel sulekhans have shown immense lack of maturity in discussing this issue, refusing to move beyond the 'maharashtrians are creeps, antisocial, etc' slogans. You have also reviled anyone (RajT) with a contrarian view, or who tries to show you the other side of the picture. ...........

..........I think those who cannot see the issue in its entirety and keep on harping about the same damn thing again and again, should first sit down and think . I think advocating that the migrants to keep living in the conditions describe above , instead of seeing that they have more options and better living standards -which you are tacitly doing- is more inhuman than suggesting that the country grow evenly which i am doing

I have had it with this debate. It is no debate, it is lynching by a mob."

Those are perhaps the best words of wisdom to date!!..!  We need more Indians like 'atims'  who can lead us out of the trrap of more colonial looting and "plundering" by the likes of Abu Azmi and his congi-wala anti-Hindu criminals !..!!

All'd agree and say in chorus: "I have nothing against the Thackeray parivar but I do feel that (we) have to consider (ourselves) Indians first...."  We can be sure the thug (Abu Azmi, MP of Samajwadi Party)  who ignited this all is grinning to himself with a sense of devilish glee.  Losers are aam janta who also faced riots and suffered loss of lives numbeirng 1788 for an unused bldg in ruins called babri.  It was Mumbai that was attacked the most by blasts and serial train bombings for Ayodhya claim of an ancient Holy Site dear to the cultured Hindus.

Instead of going by herd mentality or group think led by clownish media hype and spin, let us give credit where credit is due: "one thing i have to say is  that the thackeray family has fought for the upliftment of the maharastrians ..for the past 30 odd years ....the means they have used may not be savoury at times .cheers, jaijui"

All politics is divisive as one leaders is pitted gainat another. So, that argument is absurd!! But Hindus and Sikhs face a far more dangerous type, namely, hate politics and number politics, after one thousand years of colonialism.  So, I say shed hate and spread love and harmony!

Seetha-ji is right when she says, conquering caste and language barriers and boundaries is the top priority.  It is not morally right for us or anyone to be "forced to shut up."  That is worse than divisive politics; it is hateful arm-twisting barbaric politics.

It was you whose wisdom is encapsulated in these words:
"Till date many militants have been caught and released, either due to the hue and cry raised by the human rights organisations or due to the weak will power of the politicians and pseudo secular forces who cry themselves hoarse on the issue and harp on the religious sentiments of minorities.

A significant pointer to this fact is the Afzal case where a person condemned by no lesser court than the Supreme Court for his involvement in the Parliament attack, has yet to be hanged."

Last being thanks to communal kalam!

Hi Sudha,
So nice to see you here...  agree completely with your statement...If one is not safe in his own country, where else can he be safe?

Cheers!

Dear Tanu,

That was a nice satire!  Yes.  I too prefer the kingdoms of the past.  At least some  Kings took care of their subjects, even though they lived royally.  Now, 'welfare' is the last priority for any politician.  Each one is busy either fighting for his seat or creating unrest in the society to divide the people and earn votes.  What a cheap tactic! Civilization is only taking man backwards in thinking.  He has stopped realising that he is a social being and requires the support of others and nature for his survival.  Sitting inside palacial bungalows contructed by the hardworking menial labourers of Bihar or Tamilnadu or Andhra Pradesh and zooming on roads laid down by the poor labourers of Karnataka or Orissa or Bengal, politicians have the audocity to spread venom in the minds of innocent people.  If one is not safe in his own country, where else can he be safe?

Congrats for steering the thoughts!

Dear Mehul,
As long as the violence in society remains uncontrolled, we will remain the punching bags for one group or the other....even writers and movie makers are being subjected to punches...think of Ashutosh Gowarikar, Taslima Nasreen, and now Jaysree Misra....

Thanks a lot Seetha, for calling me a champon of the under dogs! I really don't think I am qualified for such a lofty title. I am a mere blogger trying to express my voice in the wilderness. Thanks anyway. I am humbled by your words......

Tanushri,

I do wish that people would stop being punching bags for the kind of divisive politician whose tribe Raj Thackeray represents (and there are examples in every state and every political party in India) and give them a peaceful push in the back by voting against them. We need more people to do that and these clowns would be forced to shut up.

Thanks for a funny and well written post!
